The Temple of Hephaestus is the best preserved temple of Greece. It sits in the corner of the Ancient Agora, or marketplace. The rest of the site is in ruins, but the temple is almost perfectly assembled, inside and out. It was cool to see this and to imagine what it must have looked like when everything (including the Parthenon) was still standing. It still blows my mind that I’m looking at a building that people walked in and used 2500 years ago.
