The market is filled with 2004 Athens Olympic pins (“Very rare,” the shopkeeper tells me), Drachmas (Greece’s former currency), and record players. I am pretty terrible at bargaining, but my friend Hannah has what it takes- “How much is it?” she says. “10 euro,” says the vendor. “No,” says Hannah.  And that’s how we get it for €5.
